The philosophy of photography. Highly recommended.

A relatively short book, opens a hidden window to view the world around us in different eyes. This book by Pierre Poulain goes much beyond photography to offer a more attentive observation within our daily life. For the enthusiastic photographer (or any artist), this book awakes a meaningful insight to the art and might be referred as 'the philosophy of photography'. I read it several times and can highly recommend it.

Pierre Poulain beautifully expresses how photography can be a means to touch something higher, something much beyond ourselves, or perhaps a truer aspect of ourselves. Concisely and simply written, the book makes abstract concepts accessible and practical. This book reminded me that we can all bring much more depth and meaning to our craft (as well as to every seemingly mundane aspect of our life). A very inspiring read.

A new and essential perspective a photographer can explore , in order to capture moments , which can transmit meaningful symbolic moments of life. To explore this new way of looking at life beyond subjective limitations, is really inspiring ! It is a very interesting read.
